Sometimes it’s hard to reach out when we need it the most. In those darker moments, seeing a loved one’s name light up your phone can completely alter your entire state of mind. Destani Wolf’s latest release “Call Me” is a timeless, soul ballad with production nods to all those late 60’s and early 70’s records we love so much courtesy of producer Dan Ubick (The Lions, Nights Owls, The Keystones).

“Call Me” is an emotional plea for connection, Wolf’s vocals yearning to be calmed by a loved one’s voice. Drummer Mario Calire (The Wallflowers, Ozomatli), bassist Dave Wilder (Macy Gray, Norah Jones), organ player Dan Hastie (Orgone, Alicia Keys, Solange Knowles) and guitar player Gawain Matthews (Mickey Hart) bring such sensitivity to the track while Rebecca Schlappich Charles' (Ben Harper, Mariachi El Bronx) string arrangement pulls you in even deeper.

If you haven’t checked in on those you love, take a moment, your voice might bring all the calm they need and it’ll probably be good for your heart too!
